DAY 1

VERONA

Arrival at the airport and pick-up of the rental car. Arrival and check-in at the hotel in Verona.

DAY 2

VERONA - VENICE

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Venice, a place unique in all the world for its history and charm, a place which is always alluring no matter what time of year. Walk to the San Marco neighbourhood, where the most important Venetian monuments are to be found: St Mark’s Square, an icon of the Venetian lagoons famous all over the world, with its beautiful Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs, the Doge’s Palace and the church of Santa Maria della Salute. Return to Verona in the late afternoon for overnight stay.

DAY 3

SIRMIONE - PESCHIERA DEL GARDA

After breakfast departure for Sirmione, followed by a tour of the beautiful village. Its historical centre is on a peninsula which divides the lower part of Lake Garda. Known to all as “the pearl of the islands and the peninsula” thanks to the Roman poet Catullus, it is a major tourist site both for its Roman and Medieval ruins as well as for its famed thermal waters. After some free time for lunch, departure for Pescheria del Garda, an enchanting town just south of Lake Garda. More commonly known as Pentagono, Pescheria unites its history as a UNESCO fortress city with its dreamy lakeside town soul. Return to the hotel in Verona.

DAY 4

MANTUA - MILAN

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a tour of Verona, known all over the world as the city of star-crossed lovers, having been the setting for the two most famous lovers of all time, Romeo and Juliet. Its historical centre has been named a UNESCO heritage site for its architecture and urban layout, romantic and charming with its bridges across the river Adige, wonderful buildings and narrow crowded streets. Afterwards, departure for Mantua. Tour of Mantua, the museum city. It is criss-crossed by little canals from the Mincio river, home of Virgil and cradle of the arts; little wonder it has been declared a UNESCO heritage site. The Ducal palace is the beating heart of the city, the official residence of the Gonzaga which makes for an impressive symbol of the city on the Lower Lake. Departure for Milan in the late afternoon. Check in at hotel.

DAY 5

STRESA - ORTA SAN GIULIO

After breakfast departure for Stresa, a wonderful town on the shores of Lake Maggiore popular with tourists. This charming lakeside town is set in a stunning landscape and enjoys excellent views of the Alps. The whole area is right on the water’s edge of Lake Maggiore, where the famous Borromean islands are to be found. Free time for lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the lake, then departure for Orta San Giulio, a splendid location on the eastern shore of Lake Orta, across the water from the island of San Giulio. This picturesque village is a tangle of narrow winding streets lined with old houses and baroque buildings, with their porticoed courtyards and wrought iron balconies. Return to Milan in the late afternoon.

DAY 6

LUGANO - LOCARNO

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Lugano and tour of the city. Considered to be the most beautiful in Italian Switzerland, it sits on the shores of the lake from which it takes its name, tucked under the mountains of San Salvatore, Bré and Gazzirola. The charming Mediterranean squares and arcades of the city centre, as well as its numerous parks bursting with subtropical plants, such as the Parco Civico on the shoreline of the lake, are perfect places to relax and watch the world go by. After a walk around, departure for Locarno, a small town nestled into the Alps and famous for its international festival of film. Narrow streets radiate out from Piazza Grande, the heart of the town, and from the lakeside promenade lined with period buildings of timeless charm. Afterwards, return to Milan for overnight stay.

DAY 7

COMO - BELLAGIO

After breakfast departure for Como and tour of the city. This city at the southern end of Lake Como is one of the most popular in Northern Italy. It is famous for its Gothic cathedral, panoramic cable car and lakeside walkway. Boat trip to Bellagio, the pearl of Lake Como and among the most stunning tourist sites around. It is known for the unrivalled charm of its tiny streets lined with local craft boutiques. Its lakeside walkway, although not very long, offers all the flavour of bygone days. Return to Como by boat and in the evening return to the hotel at Milan.

DAY 8

BERGAMO

Breakfast at the hotel, and a tour of Milan. The city is world capital of fashion and design, as well as afinancial hub famous for its exclusive restaurants and shops. The main sites not to be missed are the Cathedral, symbol of the city, and the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, home to Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Last Supper”. There is also Sforzesco Castle, once home to the Viscounts Sforza and bursting with history as well as works by Michelangelo. Finally, a visit would not be complete without seeing the La Scala opera house, cultural symbol of Milan and ranked amongst the world’s finest theatres for its history, architecture and performances. Afterwards, departure for Bergamo. Check-in at the hotel followed by a visit to Bergamo Alta, perched high on a hill and surrounded by walls. Piazza Vecchia is the beating heart of Bergamo Alta and was considered to be “one of the most beautiful squares in Europe” by the architect Le Corbusier. Today, it is symbolic of the city.

DAY 9

LOVERE- PESCHIERA MARAGLIO - BRESCIA - BERGAMO

Breakfast and departure for Lovere, an elegant town agreed to be one of most beautiful in Italy. Nestled between lake and mountain, the town is like a huge amphitheatre, with stunning buildings built in good taste and with perfect architectural style. Continue the road that runs along the lake to Sulzano and take the ferry to Peschiera Maraglio, one of the most picturesque villages on Monte Isola, where you will also find Villa Olofredi - an ancient residence now privately owned - and the church of San Michele with its frescoes. This small fishing village has a beautiful lakeside promenade for a nice walk, narrow alleys and small restaurants where you can eat something. To finish you will have a tour of Brescia. During the Renaissance, the city was known as “the Lioness of Italy”, and today it is a modern, bustling and dynamic place. Unique traces of the past are to be found everywhere, and the city’s share of noteworthy historical and artistic treasures, as well as its enchanting spaces and hidden nooks, make it an exceptionally interesting and important city. Return to Bergamo.

DAY 10

BERGAMO

Breakfast at the hotel, drop off of the rental car at the airport. Check in for the return flight.

Note: At the time of booking is required copy of driver's license and credit card to guarantee the designated driver. Excess hours: there is a tolerance of 30 minutes beyond which will be charged an additional day of car rental.

- Travel Insurance: Medical Travel insurance, Luggage Travel insurance and Cancellation Travel Insurance costs are available on request at the time of booking confirmation

General Notes

HOTEL: overnight stays will be provided in the indicated hotels or in similar hotels. During the periods of national holidays, religious holidays, events and trade fairs, overnight stays could be provided in similar hotels but in different areas.
The hotels could be 4 star hotels in a non central area to facilitate parking and to avoid possible ZTL.

EXCURSIONS AND TASTINGS: the excursions and tastings may be subject to variations in case of unavailability of the same. In the event that this condition occurs, the excursions and tastings will be replaced with another type.

   Methods of payment:

When you confirm your booking, you will be asked for the indicated payment of 100 € (not refundable) and for it you will receive the first invoice.
Within 48 hours from the "Block Pricing", you will receive an email confirming your booking by the tour operator and requesting a deposit of 30% of the total booking amount.
The balance of the booking will be requested 30 days before departure.
If the confirmation is less than 30 days before the arrival, the balance of the services will be requested immediately.
